The Capital Washington DC, day 2

We start our day in DC with walking around the neighborhood to see the autumn leaves and a breakfast from Dunkin Donut. I never knew croissant and hash brown from dunkin donut store can be this good, although the blueberry muffin is too sweet for me. We went back to dunkin donut again the next morning hehe..

Nearest Station : Smithsonian Metro Station and walk again 17 mins
Opening Hours  : The public may visit the Thomas Jefferson Memorial 24 hours a day.
The Thomas Jefferson Memorial is a presidential memorial, dedicated to Thomas Jefferson. You'll have to walk a little to get here but it's worth it. It is a great memorial with a beautiful view in downtown Washington DC. We took a troll around the tidal basin and took pictures from many difference perspectives.

Lincoln Memorial
Opening Hours  : The public may visit the Lincoln Memorial 24 hours a day.
We walk from Jefferson Memorial toward here and you can also see many other major monuments like Korean War, World War II and Washington Monument by walking about 1.5 miles. The Lincoln Memorial has appeared in many movie such as Legally Blonde 2, National Treasure, Transformer, even in Night at the Museum where the statue of Lincoln himself come to life at night. Now I can see it with my own eyes how big is the statue.

Pi Pizzeria
Location : 910 F Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20004
Opening Hours  : Monday - Thursday, 11am - 11pm | Friday - Saturday, 11am - 12am | Sunday, 11am – 10pm
My husband is craving for a pizza, we found out in the internet that this restaurant is famous for their Chicago-style deep dish pizza. We start with caesar salad, a mix of crisp Romaine Lettuce, Garlic Croutons and Parmesan. If you can't make up your mind on which pizza, you can always do half and half. We got a Delmar and Kirkwood which were fantastic, but I like Delmar better. The server was great as well. I even read somewhere its president Obama favorite pizza.

Nearest Station : Federal Triangle (Blue and Orange lines), Metro Center (Blue, Orange and Red lines) and McPherson Square (Blue and Orange lines).
Security is a concern everywhere in Washington especially in here, so touring inside would need advance planning and difficult process after-all this the White House we are taking about. We plan our trip in such a short time so we can only see this world famous house from outside. I feel lucky to be able come here to DC and finally see the famous White House with my own eyes. After taking some pictures, we just walking around it and found White House Gift Shop's that display the replica of Resolute Desk just like in the Oval office.

Chinatown
From the gift shop we decided to walk to Chinatown  since I'm just really craving for rice, noodles and stir vegetables. I forgot to take the picture of the food since we ate it right the way. May not the best Chinese food I'll ever eat but can really satisfy my craving. The portions are generous and the prices are also reasonable. They put the leftover in this cute Chinese food takeout boxes along with fortune cookies (served as a dessert in Chinese restaurants in the United States). I finally can eat Chinese food from the box just like I seen in the movie (^0^)v
