The Big Apple City, New York day 5

Our last day in NYC and today happens to be Halloween so I really can't wait to see the Halloween Parade tonight and look how the people would dress up for this event. But since it still early we went to hunt some delicious food.

Nearest Station : 57 St or 47-50 Sts - Rockefeller Ctr
Address :  West 53 St. & 6 Ave. (Southwest Corner)
The Halal Guys, New York's Most Famous Street Cart which offer several menu such as the rice platters (chicken, beef gyro, combos) to sandwiches (chicken, beef gyro, combos), falafels, and their famed white sauce and (extremely) hot sauce. Actually I'm not craving for middle eastern food since we have bad experience eating middle eastern food in Taiwan but since so many friends keep suggesting it and saying it was NYC's Best Street Food so we got to give it a try. It turn out so yummy, for just $7 the combos rice platter come with a huge portions of rice, chicken, beef, lettuce, pita, and their famous white & hot sauce. Definitely big enough for sharing, just take a seat on the sidewalk and enjoy this amazing food!

After lunch, we went to local supermarket nearby just to buy some snacks since we don't have time try all of them here, we decided to bought some of them and eat it later in Taiwan.

Carrie Bradshaw's Apartment
Nearest Station : Christopher St - Sheridan Sq [1,2]
Address : 66 Perry Street and Bleecker Street
As you can imagine, hundreds of people visiting this apartment every week. Yes, its Carrie’s home on “Sex and the City”, an American romantic comedy show about four female friends lives as single women in NYC. My sister and I usually watched this TV series together, I like the plot in the this series mostly talking about sex and relationship.

Address : On 6th Avenue North of Spring Street to 16th Street from 7:00pm - 10:30pm
No one celebrate Halloween like New Yorker did. From Carrie Bradshaw's Apartment we walk a couple block to see the surrounding neighborhood, we saw how young children and adult dressing up for this special event. Parents take their kids trick-or-treating for Halloween candy, it looks like they are having so much fun and getting free candy, Hahaha..

We watched the parade from W.12th Street and you bet it's really crowded. Anyone can participate in the Village Halloween Parade and costumes are mandatory. The point of Halloween is to dress up and that's what they do wearing their coolest and creative costume. We are so lucky to get a chance seeing this parade before heading back to Taiwan tonight.
