Baishihu Suspension Bridge - 白石湖吊橋

You could always find a great place for hike without leaving Taipei City. Our destination is Baishihu Suspension Bridge which is located on Mt. Bishan next to Bishan Temple around Neihu area. We start from Neihu MRT (內湖站) and walk through the trail which is easy just follow the main road to Bishan Temple (碧山巖). After walking around one hour you should reach the steps that lead to Bishan Temple. Nearby you could also find a small shop selling delicious rice dumpling (肉粽) for 40 NTD. We should build up our energy first coz we still have another 460 steps to go.

Finally we reach Bishan Temple, many people said you can go on the top to the view of Taipei City. But we go directly to Baishihu Suspension Bridge (白石湖吊橋) which only 5 minutes walk from the Bishan Temple entrance.  Its a unique purple bridge give you scenic view surround it. 

This area also known as the closest strawberry picking location from Taipei City, strawberry usually only available during winter time. Just cross the bridge you will find many small farms run by family lived nearby there. They sell several type of snacks made from strawberry such as ice cream, butter cake, sausage and steamed bun (mantou). You could also find several small cafes to enjoy afternoon tea. But if you really goitng there to picking strawberry, you should try going to Dahu.
