The Big Apple City, New York day 4

It's another beautiful sunny day in NYC even the wind a little bit chili, can't wait to explore the city. First destination is the Statue of Liberty Island, my trip in New York City will never be complete without a visit to the Lady of Liberty.

Getting There : Take a ferry from Battery Park (take the 1 or 9 train to the South Ferry station, 4 or 5 train to the Bowling Green station, or the N or R train to the Whitehall Street station), see the ferry schedule here
To reach the island, just bought round trip fare on the ferry, which includes admission to both the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We were so lucky to be here on a bright and sunny day, seeing this huge statue which is a symbol of hope and freedom for the millions of people. We were also treated with the beautiful view of the New York skyline, you can see Manhattan on one side, the Brooklyn bridge on the other.

After touring Liberty Island, we make a stop at Ellis Island to look at American History. Ellis Island was the No. 1 immigration station in the country from 1892 to 1954. This is the grand hall that families awaited their hearings regarding citizenship.

Wall Street
Getting There : walk around 15 mins from 9/11 Memorial
Who does know the location of the financial district in NYC, I have seen it in countless films where young ambitious broker got so success or how the finance crisis effect everyone lives. Such an interesting district and don't forget to see the 7000-pound sculpture of the Charging Bull in Lower Manhattan on Broadway (a.k.a The Wall Street Bull). The bull is a symbol of financial power and has become a popular photo spot for many tourists like me hehe. I have seen this bull in many movies such as The Wolf of Wall Street, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Hitch, and many more.

Nearest Station : High Street/York Street/Clark Street
From Wall St to Brooklyn Bridge Park, we got plenty of option either we walk crossing the bridge or taking public transportation such as subway or ferry. Finally we decided to take the East River Ferry, check the ferry schedule here. Once you arrived at Brooklyn Bridge Park, you can see that gorgeous and unique bridge complete with the views of the Manhattan skyline. The only I regret is not walk across the Brooklyn Bridge itself.

Nearest Station : Times Sq - 42 St
Back to Times Square again, tonight finally we can enjoy the Broadway Show. Everyone knows that purchasing tickets at TKTS is the best way to get affordable tickets to Broadway shows plus its a good seat. After buying the ticket we went directly to Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, 205 West 46th Street New York, NY where the show will be played. We enjoyed the play, Finding Neverland, the story centers on how JM Barrie came to write his most famous work Peter Pan. It was a spectacular shows and the actors were amazing! At the end of the show, all audiences and actors singing birthday song to Matthew Morrison, who turn 37 that day. This was my first Broadway experience and I would say it was unforgettable experience.  Broadway shows are generally expensive and usually always run full house but you shouldn't miss it when in New York.
