Beautiful City of Florence
We took train from Pisa Centralle to Firenze SMN arrive around noon then dropping our luggage to the hotel. Our itinerary today is to visited Piazza Michelangelo, Ponte Vecchio Bridge, Piazza della Signoria and Florence Cathedral.
Many people would suggest you to just walk to Piazza Michelangelo, but since you have to walk up hill, you have another option to save your energy by taking local bus no 12 or 13 from SMN Station which will cost 1.2 euros a single ride (tickets must be purchased in advance at a kiosk nearby the station). Piazza Michelangelo is a large square in Florence, Italy which offers majestic and stunning views over the city. Love it up there, I can see the panoramic stunning view, one of the best moment we had in Florence. At the center of the square you can see the replica of the statue of David.
After satisfied seeing the stunning view of the city, we walk down the hill to go to Ponte Vecchio Bridge. Its the oldest, most famous and unique medieval bridge in Florence, where you can find many gold and jewelry shop.
Our decision to skip the museum is pay off, we can just relax sitting, no rush and enjoy the evening in Piazza della Signoria. Florence is the city to fall in love, the atmosphere so romantic, calm, and really nice. Not like Rome really crowded. Just love walking in the afternoon to see the city with many unique sculptures and shopping places. Don't forget to visit Florence Cathedral nearby since the entrance is free, but to access the dome, baptistery and bell tower you have to buy the combination ticket.
