Modern Tokyo City

Tokyo is Japan's capital city, known as a hi-tech city with modern things. I'm so exciting using Shinkanshen from Osaka to Tokyo. This the newest Shinkanshen Nozomi series which stop only at the most important stations. Nozomi services using N700 series equipment reach speeds of 300 km/h (186 mph), trip between Tokyo and Osaka(515 kilometres) only takes 2 hours 26 minutes on the fastest Nozomi.

If you traveling to many cities in Japan please consider to buy JR Pass to save your money, remember to buy in your home country coz they didn't sell it in Japan. JR Pass allows us to unlimited travel on almost all JR trains nationwide, including bullet trains, limited express trains, local trains, some JR buses and the JR ferry to Miyajima. JR Pass can't be use for taking Nozomi Trains.

I'm really impressed with their vending machine, can provide both cold or hot drink. I wish Taipei have one of this machine really useful to get hot drink on winter and cold drink on summer time.

Many restaurant also use vending machine to display, order and pay for the food, so you only needed to show the receipt when you enter the restaurant. Kind a cool right!! You didn't have to wait for the waiter to give the menu and take your order.

There are many attraction places in Tokyo whether is a traditional street, modern building, amusement park or popular fashion street. See the list attraction places that we visited:

Asakusa
One of Tokyo's few districts, which have preserved a certain atmosphere of the old Tokyo. Best known for its many temples especially Sensoji. From the gate to the temple you will pass by Nakamise Shopping Street will always crowed and bustling with visitor. You can buy souvenirs, snacks, foods, drinks and clothes in this street.

There are many many restaurant, great shopping center, and of course banana tokyo. Tokyo Banana is considered to be the #1 souvenir of choice to be given out as gifts. There are many flavored and printed with different versions like polka dot, giraffe, strawberry. Don't leave Tokyo without buying this perfect sweetness, the price around 1000 yen. Harajuku It is the center of Japan's most extreme teenage cultures and fashion styles, but also offers shopping for grown-ups and some historic sights. If you can visit Harajuku on Sunday to see many teenagers gathering using their costume play (cosplay). Too bad I go there on Saturday so I didn't see anyone with their cosplay.

Shibuya One of Tokyo's most colorful and busy districts and birthplace to many of Japan's fashion and entertainment trends. You can find almost anything in here dozens of shopping malls, dining places, nightclubs ang many more. Most tourist will also interesting to see Hachiko Statue, the dog who waited at Shibuya station each day for his master. He continued to wait each evening after his master passed away. (Very loyal and touching story)

Tokyo Disneyland & Disneysea One of the most popular Disney Parks in the world. I would visited both parks if they have combination ticket but since I can only choose one. I decide to enter Tokyo Disneysea coz they have unique themed area and Tokyo Disneyland mostly have the same theme layout with Hongkong Disneyland which I went there last year. The most impressive attraction for me is Toer of Terror really really scary, the other are fun and entertaining.
