QingJing Farm - 清境農場

On one fine weekend, we decided to enjoy trip to Qing Jing Farm. We took train/bus from Taipei to Taichung (Taichung Railway Station), from Taichung to our villa in Qing Jing Farm, we used pre-book shared transportation service, which we will share the car with other people but to the same destination. The other alternative is to use Nantao Bus from Taichung.

Once we arrived to our villa, its still too early for check-in so we just drop our luggage and the owner drove us straight to Green Green Grassland. Some villa / b&b will offer admission ticket (slightly cheaper) to enter the Green Green Grassland, open daily from 8am to 4pm. The sheep are very friendly, you can take a photo, touch their soft fur and feed them.

There is a sheep shearing show at 2.30 pm so don't forget to find your way back to the stage. The show only on the weekend/holiday, one in the morning around 9.30 am, one in the afternoon at 2.30 pm.

Keep walking to the back to the other stage and enjoy the horse-riding show. The demonstration is performed by the tribe there, unique and exciting show.

After the show we rush back to our villa to enjoy the afternoon tea.

For dinner, we went Carton King restaurant, where everything inside is made by carton. The restaurant decoration, plate for food, glass all of it include carton. Can you imagine that?

If you eat at Carton King restaurant and spend 300 NTD and its multiple, you got free entrance ticket to Little Swiss Garden (小瑞士花园). If you go there at night, the ticket still be valid in the next morning. So you could see the lighting at night and the flower garden in the morning.

If you are not too tired, you might want to consider to join Hehuanshan (合歡山) sunrise tour. The local tour is available just tell your hotel receptionist you want to join the tour, which will cost 400 NTD/person at that time. The tour bus will pick you at your villa around 4am and give a morning call at 2.30am. The tour including star viewing, sunrise, and the view around Hehuan Mountain. It's really freezing in Hehuan Mountain at dawn, but don't worry the tour will provide some jackets if you didn't bring one.
