Nikko is nippon

Nikko is one of  Japan's magnificent city. It took approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from Tokyo. Famous for it's Toshogu shrine, the entrance fee 1300 JPY per person. It's not only a shrine but inside is a mausoleum. We have to took off our shoes before entering it and no picture allowed once you are inside. When we go there there is a monk (or someone guarding the mausoleum) that asked us to go inside praying and listening to the whole history (which by the way I don't understand at all because it's in Japanese).

From the shrine we took a bus approximately 1 hour to Lake Chuzenji (Chuzenjiko), which cost us 1100 JPY per person for one way trip. The lake is located at the foot of Mount Nantai. The view is absolutely amazing. You can take a boat ride and circling the lake.

Next destination is the almost 100 meter tall Kegon Waterfall, which is the one of the most famous Nikko's many beautiful waterfalls. You don't have to climb down by yourself, we can just use the elevator which will cost you 530 JPY per person.
